​Why do we go through all this effort?

The secret of a thermos bottle is the vacuum between the outer and inner lining! Heat is essentially the movement of molecules, Faster movement = higher temperature.  But if we create a space, lacking of molecules (vacuum), there can be no transfer of movement nor heat. Utilizing this effect boost the efficiency to extreme values!

We also apply a special coating to the inner tubes in order to absorb as much energy as possible. Finally we are using a very special glass, that allows almost the whole spectrum of light to reach the inner tube to be converted into heat.



With all this combined effort we are very proud to reach a collection efficiency of about 93% with having a heat loss of just about 6% in the collector tubes. This is an overall collection efficiency in the high 80%.



When the water inside the inner tubes heats up it raises naturally up into the storage tank. colder water from the storage tank sinks down inside the tube in order to be heated. This endless loop works without any pumps or outside energy, just by the thermal  principals of physics.
